YCO Art
YCO Art offers students a chance to explore visual storytelling and self-expression through diverse art projects. Each session focuses on one or more elements of art — such as line, shape, and form — while using paint, collage, clay, and more. Lessons are inspired by master artists, cultures from around the world, and the students' own lives. Units can include: Pottery, origami, watercolor painting, clay sculpture, oil pastels, pencil sketching, collage and mixed media, acrylic painting, printmaking, chalk and charcoal drawing, digital illustration, paper crafting, textile and fiber art, recycled materials art, and ink-based line work.
YCO Theater
Students will explore the fundamentals of acting, stagecraft, and storytelling through interactive exercises and hands-on experience. They will develop creativity, teamwork, and stage awareness while gaining insight into both performance techniques and behind-the-scenes production.
YCO Anime
Anime club provides students the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of animation, storytelling, and design while learning about the Anime creation process. They will also discuss online safety in Anime communities and connect with fellow enthusiasts in a fun and supportive environment.
YCO Sings
This Beginner Vocal class is designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of singing, music, and vocal technique in a fun and engaging way. The course will focus on building proper vocal technique, developing musical ear, rhythm skills, and instilling a love for singing. By the end of the program, students will have gained confidence in their vocal abilities, learned basic vocal exercises, and participated in a simple group performance.
YCO Strums
This beginner acoustic guitar class is designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of playing the guitar in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate manner. The course will focus on basic techniques, hand coordination, and simple songs. By the end of the program, students will have learned basic chords, strumming patterns, and be able to play simple songs, as well as understand how to care for their instrument.
