YCO DISTANCE LEARNING EMPOWERMENT CAMP

YCO Distance Learning Empowerment Camp

FALL 2020

With COVID-19-related school closures and the urgency for families to report to work, there is a critical need for safe distance learning options in the City of Orange. In response, the Youth Centers of Orange, a trusted provider of after-school care for the city of Orange, is offering a distance learning empowerment camp at two centrally located sites along with some of our park sites if needed to best serve the families of Orange.

These sites are:

Friends Church of Orange
426 W. Almond Ave.
Orange, CA 92866

Old Towne Youth Center
146 N. Grand St.
Orange, CA 92866

We will be serving kids ages 5-13 at the two sites listed above. Our goal is to make sure that we come alongside the schools so that the students have a good quality learning environment along with providing recreation services such has art, music, dance, etc. We will be live streaming classes and students will be asked to bring their own device (we can provide one if needed). We are not a replacement for the classroom, we are here to support the kids, their families and teachers during these ever-changing times.

We will be following all CDC, state and local health department recommendations regarding COVID-19. Enhanced cleaning and safety protocols, daily wellness screening, stable groups, social distancing and masks are just some of the things that will be required.
